The theme of the 2018 Beijing Media Arts Biennale is “Post Life”, a topic intending to evoke questions about life in this technology-driven social context.  The Biennale is comprised of 6 parts: the main exhibition, lab space, hyperlinks exhibition, live performances, thematic forums, workshops and lecture series. The event will also include interdisciplinary experiments in the art and technology fields, with an aim to facilitate in-depth discussions between artists, designers, scientists, and theorists. The exhibition includes internationally acclaimed artists prominent in the fields of new media, moving images, interactive installations, immersive art, biological art, mechanical installations, audiovisual arts, internet art, sound art, technology and mixed media. BMAB is an international platform for leading practitioners from the fields of art and technology. 

BMAB is funded by China National Art Fund, organized by China Academy of Fine Arts and co-sponsored by the CAFA School of Design, the CAFA School of Experimental Art, and CAFA Art Museum

艾米·卡丽是一位获得国际奖项的生物艺术家，她的作品展现了思辨性的未来，并融入数字、物理和生物系统。她综合运用身体调查、科学和技术进行创作，从而探讨生活中的物质和精神层面。卡丽的作品深入挖掘我们对人类及人类身体构造的观念，以视觉的形式表达人体内部的过程。卡丽既是艺术家、设计师，也是鼓动者和未来主义者，她向我们展示了未来的愿景，让我们了解科技如何支持和增强人性，同时为也实现这一目标而不断进行技术改进。 卡丽的作品已在54个国际展览中亮相。她本人经常也受邀在各种重要场合与智库中以专家身份分享她的创新和洞见。这些活动有X-Summit、萨尔茨堡全球研讨会 (Salzburg Global Seminar) 以及未来创新者峰会 (The Future Innovators Summit) 等。
